불교문화재연구소는 국내에서 유일한 불교문화재 전문 연구기관입니다.
본 연구소는 불교문화재를 조사·연구·보존·활용함으로써 불교 문화 발전에 이바지할 목적으로 설립되었습니다.
우리는 과거의 문화재로부터 현재의 사찰문화, 미래의 문화 생성 및 활용까지 불교문화 전승에 필요한 업무를 수행하고 있습니다.
• 절터 : 현황조사 / 발굴조사 / 소재문화재 조사 / 정비계획안 작성
• 사찰 : 불상 / 불화 / 목판 / 불단 등 유형문화재 조사 및 문화재 지정・승격
• 의례 : 의례기록 / 무형조사
